COOP Careers ("co-op") is a nonprofit overcoming underemployment through digital skills and peer connections. Over the last decade, we've developed an effective and efficient method to help first-gen grads secure their first good job in an upwardly-mobile career. Our method reflects the powerful role of relationships in the labor market and the three qualities every job seeker needs: head, heart, and hustle. Since 2014, COOP’s alumni-led program has mobilized more than 5,000 grads across five regions, helping three-in-four alumni overcome underemployment within 12 months.

Summary

COOP Careers is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the position of Program Operations Consultant. This contracted role is crucial in helping us achieve our mission of overcoming underemployment through digital skills and peer connections. The selected contractor will work closely with our Director of Program Operations to provide day-to-day operations support.

We expect this role will require 20 hours per week for 5 months (roughly March to July 2025), with potential for contract extension. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure that our program executes with high efficiency and effectiveness.

Scope of work:

Program Management and Operations 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of various coursework certificates, training sessions, platforms, and key Program Operation initiatives/projects
  • Assist with weekly monitoring of participant enrollment, tracking, and program completion progression 
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization on specific deliverables tied to Program Operations and delivery

Quality Assurance 

  • Support Director of Program Operations with the administration of COOP’s LMS Management (Learning Management System)
  • Handle administrative tasks, including record-keeping, correspondence, and next steps from meetings
  • Partner with Program Operations leaders to implement quality assurance measures tied to program effectiveness and participant satisfaction
  • Monitor Fellow Career Readiness progression to measure program impact

Project Management 

  • Collect, analyze, and report on program data to measure impact and inform decision-making
  • Coordination of the Project Based Learning modules within program, tracking progression process
  • Program Schedule creation & management

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong alignment with COOP’s mission
  • Experience with using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, Google Slides, Google Docs
  • Experience with Salesforce and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Focus on operational excellence
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high-quality work product
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Deliverables:

  • Weekly reports on program goals tracking.
  • Weekly reports on Fellow Career Readiness progression
  • Bi-monthly reporting on program survey analysis
  • End of program reporting summarizing key accomplishments of the Program team and recommendations for the future


Proposal Submission Requirements:

Interested applicants should submit a proposal on COOP’s website (via JazzHR) no later than Mar 14, 2025. We intend to make final decisions by Mar 28, 2025 and begin the engagement as soon as Apr 1, 2025. Exact start date is flexible.

  1. Resume/CV: Highlight relevant experience in program operations and administration.
  2. Written Proposal: 1-2 page detailed approach to fulfilling the responsibilities, including your methodology, weekly time allocation, and any additional support you will need.
  3. References: Provide at least two professional references from previous clients or employers.
  4. Budget: Cost breakdown with indication of hourly or project-based fee structure


Selection Process:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and proposed approach. Shortlisted consultant may be invited for interviews or additional discussions to further assess fit and clarify expectations.
